The current Head Gardener's trips to exotic locations such as India and Vietnam have provided inspiration for the Himalayan Walk. Many of the plants you will find here are grown from wild collected seed. As a result you are unlikely to see many of these in any other location. Many are new in cultivation and some are being grown as part of a conservation effort to help save the species from possible extinction. Not all of the plants are new though. Every March our one hundred year old Rhododendron arboreum steals the show with its spectacular display of crimson flowers.
